For the celebration, the country was thoughtfully divided into five zones, with each zone representing the distinctive essence of its region. Students presented the traditional cuisines, folk dances, art forms, attire, artifacts, historical landmarks, eminent personalities, and cultural traditions associated with their assigned zones. Colorful stalls, thematic decorations, and engaging performances brought each region to life, creating an atmosphere filled with learning and festivity. The day was also marked by energetic dance performances, regional displays, and captivating narrations of historical significance, all of which highlighted India’s glorious diversity. The creativity and effort put forth by the students beautifully celebrated the spirit of Unity in Diversity. Through this event, Riverton Valley School not only celebrated India’s heritage but also instilled in its students a deeper sense of pride, respect, and responsibility towards preserving the country’s cultural legacy.

1.      OUR POWER, OUR PLANET - Earth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across all classes through a range of engaging and meaningful activities. The KG students participated in a coloring activity, beautifully illustrating the various elements of Earth, fostering early awareness about the environment. A "Clean the Campus" drive was organized, where students actively took part in cleaning their surroundings, promoting the value of cleanliness and responsibility towards nature. Additionally, students helped in the preparation of a compost pit, learning practical methods of waste management and recycling. A vibrant fashion show was also held, where students creatively showcased different elements of Earth — such as water, soil, air, and greenery — with costumes and slogans emphasizing the urgent need to protect our planet. Another highlight of the celebration was the Seed Bomb activity, where students made seed balls using soil and seeds, promoting greenery and encouraging reforestation in a fun, hands-on way. Overall, the celebrations were vibrant and educational, inspiring young minds to adopt eco-friendly habits and take action for a better, greener world.

HEALTH IS WEALTH - On the occasion of World Health Day, a health check-up camp was organized where Dr. Himanjay Saxena, a dentist, and Dr. Rochani, an ophthalmologist, conducted comprehensive examinations for all the children. Each child underwent both dental and eye check-ups aimed at promoting early detection and preventive care. Dr. Himanjay Saxena advised students on maintaining good oral hygiene through regular brushing and healthy eating habits, while Dr. Rochani emphasized the importance of protecting eye health by reducing screen time and ensuring proper lighting during reading and studying. Personalized suggestions were provided to many students based on their individual check-up reports. The initiative was a great success, creating awareness among children about the importance of maintaining good health from a young age.

The program included a prayer, a speech on his philosophy of Naam Japo, Kirat Karo, and Vand Chakko, a soulful performance of devotional Shabads by the Riverites , and a vibrant tableau depicting key events from his life. The assembly concluded with the distribution of Kada Prasad, fostering unity and humility. The event was a meaningful tribute, inspiring students to embrace Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s timeless values of compassion, equality, and honesty.

As part of the value of the month, "The Joy of Giving," students from Class 6 and 7 embarked on a heartwarming visit to Apna Ghar old age home. This meaningful initiative aimed to imbibe generosity, compassion, and the true happiness that comes from sharing. The children enthusiastically contributed essential items, including food grains, woolen socks, caps, biscuits, and other eatables which reflected their collective spirit of kindness and care. During the visit, the students showcased their talents by preparing soulful songs and lively dances, bringing smiles to the elderly residents. The interaction was filled with warmth as the students spent quality time with the elders, listening to their stories and spreading cheer. The experience left a profound impact, teaching the young minds the invaluable lesson that giving not only benefits the receiver but also enriches the giver. This memorable visit truly highlighted the essence of community and the joy of human connections.

From thrilling roller coasters to exciting swings, the rides brought out squeals of delight and added a dash of adventure to the celebration. Students relished delicious snacks and meals, fueling their energy for endless fun. The celebration concluded with heartfelt thanks to the teachers and staff for making it a memorable experience. The students returned with joyous smiles and unforgettable memories of a day well spent!

A festival of light, a melody of cheer, A celebration of love, spreading far and near. To share the joy of Deepawali, the Grade 7 students at Riverton Valley School conducted a Special Assembly on October 28, 2024, with boundless excitement and happiness. Dressed in traditional attire, they presented lively performances, including dance, music, and a skit symbolizing the victory of light over darkness. This was followed by several competitions like diya decoration, toran making, pooja thali decoration, rangoli competition, greeting card making, poster making and fireless cooking competitions. The winners were rewarded by Madam Chairperson, Madam Director and Vice Chairman. who appreciated the efforts and talents of students and dedication of teachers, making this event unforgettable.
